Our Building Started Life as a Pontiac Dealership

Built in 1948. Converted to condos in the late 90s. We have 18 residential and two commercial units as well as an enormous underground garage.

The Eye of Pontiac is a corner unit with windows on two sides and — like all the units in the main building — a loft layout under a barrel roof designed to withstand any weather.

The original buildings were designed by Pontiac and built on site all over the country. The intention was a building that could protect a dealers cars from any weather — from a snowstorm in Detroit to a hurricane in North Carolina.

We have weathered a few hurricanes here and happily report that it is the safest place in town.

It is also the most fun, with a community of freinds who enjoy each other’s company, look out for each other’s pets, and throw frequent parties both in the units and in the community spaces.
